The Muzineum was invited to be on Trivial Thursdays on WRFL 88.1 by host Mick Jefferies. Per the website, "The show is kind of a college radio version of a morning drive-time show — complete with lots of talking, laughing, and music. The weekly hijinx kick off with The Leiflet (archive https://bit.ly/3v7DSqx) followed by visits with artists, writers, musicians, and assorted community innovators. Trivial Thursdays is every Thursday from 10-Noon EST on WRFL, and you can listen online at www.wrfl.fm"
This was my first appearance on a radio show and I think I did alright??! Good thing I've had lot's of practice with Zoom this past year. Anyway, in the show we covered the origins of the Muzineum, what a zine actually is and settled how to pronounce Muzineum [mue-zin-ni-um, like "zinnia"] and Lori Houlihan from the Lexington Art League came on to talk about the exhibit. The highlight of the segment, however, was Tiffany Duncan's thoughts on Pandemic Still Life and her experience during lockdown. At the end of her bit we were treated to a reading of her poem, What Still Remains. Below is a clip of Tiffany Duncan on Trivial Thursdays.
Pandemic Still Life is still showing at the Lexington Art League from now until June 12th, 2021. Located at 209 Castlewood Dr, Lexington, KY. Their hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 12 -5pm.
